Here is what I would like you to know this week:
- We had a wonderful trip to Salt Lake City. I am sure that you are all very proud of your children because I was during the trip.
- Please don’t forget the Question and Answer evening February 16th for people interested in Grace, as well as the Shadow day for prospective students on February 17th. Please invite anyone who might be interested.
- Please pray that God will bring the right people to the Q&A session
- Please remember that we don’t have school Feb 20th-24th. I am sure you are sad!
- Could I please ask for your help with cell phones? As you know, the students are not to have cell phones with them on campus. There is a box where they can leave them in the office. If they leave their phones in their car, they are to put a block in their phone space in the box. Very few students are complying with this system. I think it is valuable to focus on school work when they are here and not to have the distraction of the cell phone. However, I have many more valuable things to do with my time than police this. Could you please have a talk with your student about the value of respecting adults and rules? Thank you.
- I thought that it might we worth reminding you all of the procedures for tardies and absences.
o If your child is going to be tardy to school and you would like to excuse it, please call the school as soon as possible.
o If your child is going to be gone for the whole day, please call the school as soon as possible.
o If you know ahead of time that your child will miss some school, please have your child get a prearranged absence form from the office, fill it out and return it to the office with as much lead time as possible. The student should then check with each teacher about work that can be done ahead of time or that will be due when he/she returns.
